• Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
• Profile information: Any additional details you add to your profile (such as your yoga background or location).
• Listing content: If you are a service provider, any content you submit for review — events, accommodations, services, or business details.
• Communications: If you contact us via WhatsApp, we receive the messages you send.

b. Information collected automatically

• Usage data: Pages visited, time spent, clicks, and navigation patterns — collected via PostHog and Vercel Analytics.
• Session recordings: Microsoft Clarity records anonymised screen interactions (mouse movements, scrolls, clicks) to help us improve the platform. Clarity does not capture passwords or payment details.
• Device and browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs.
• Error data: Technical error reports collected via Sentry when something goes wrong on the platform.
• Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies for authentication, analytics, and session recording. See Section 5 for details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To review and moderate submitted content before it goes live
• To improve the platform through analytics and session recordings

We do not process any payments. All financial arrangements are made directly between users and service providers outside the platform.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following situations:

• Service providers: We use third-party tools to operate the platform (listed in Section 4). These providers access only the data needed to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy policies.
• Public listings: Content you submit as a service provider (shala details, event listings, etc.) becomes publicly visible on the platform once approved.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by Indian law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

Analytics and error data is retained according to the policies of the respective third-party services (typically 12–24 months).

Sūtraha is a community directory for yoga practitioners of all ages. All content on the platform is reviewed and moderated before going live. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without consent, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.

We use industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption, to protect your data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and to sign out after each session.

10. International Users

Sūtraha is operated from India and is primarily intended for use in India. If you are accessing the platform from outside India, your information may be transferred to and processed in India, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
